  Fine wines at unrefined prices!

We made a mistake!

When we expanded our wine selection, we started bringing in some really fantastic wines. Like, really good stuff. But we got excited and ordered too much.

Here’s the deal: we need to get this wine off our shelves and onto your table, so we’re dramatically reducing the price on over 300 amazing wines.

Oops.

But also, we hope you’ll enjoy!
Wine clearance

It wasn’t our first choice to let these wines go for these prices, but they’re not doing anybody any good sitting around on our shelves. We hope that you’ll be able to enjoy these bottles. Savor them with friends and family. Make a special occasion that much sweeter. Drink something wonderful that you might not have taken a chance on otherwise.

Andre Clouet Dream

Vintage 2016

Champagne, France
Closeout price: $41.99

This Champagne house is well-known for its Pinot Noir-based wines, which makes this 100% Chardonnay a bit of a special oddity. There’s ample acidity to lie this one down and age it for 5-10 more years, but it’s drinking beautifully now. This one is all about balance; the mineral laden structure inherent in cold climate Chardonnay is contrasted by a wonderfully rich and creamy mouth feel, with hints of toasted almond and maple on the finish.

Limited Stock

Dusky Goose Pinot Noir 2013
Willamette Valley, Oregon (Dundee Hills)
Closeout price: $47.99

2 available

Yes, it’s a 2013 vintage — but this is about midway through its aging potential and should be drinking beautifully. To describe this pinot as elegant would be an understatement, with lively acidity to balance its restrained tannins. The emphasis here is on bringing the best out of its trio of Dijon clones (115,777, and 828), with earthy floral and herbal notes being the star attractions. It’s difficult to think of a better food-oriented pinot in the store right now. Can easily age until 2030.

Shafer TD-9 2019
Napa Valley, California
Closeout price: $49.99

2 available

It’s opulent, it’s high-alcohol, it’s lush, ripe, and unabashedly exuberant. This is the pinnacle for any California red enthusiast. Flavors of black cherry, currant brandy, herbs de Provence, and baking spices are framed by ripe, silky tannins that can guarantee another decade plus of cellaring. That said; this luscious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot is drinking beautifully now (“best after 2022”).

2019 TD-9
Napa Valley, California

TD-9 is a proprietary blend that celebrates a bold move. In 1973, in the space of a few months, John Shafer went from riding morning commuter
trains in Chicago to teaching himself to drive a TD-9 tractor in our Napa Valley vineyard. He’d never grown grapes or made wine in his life. That
spirit of risk-taking and adventure still guides Shafer today and inspires each vintage of this wine.
“This vintage of TD-9, with more than 50 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, fills the glass with vivid
aromas and flavors of summer berries, black tea, rose petal, lavender, and black cherry. All this
juicy radiance is knit together with ripe Napa Valley tannins, offering abundant enjoyment
today while promising even more beauty with time in your cellar.” — Elias Fernandez
Shafer Vineyards is a 30,000 case winery in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District. The Shafer family
owns and farms 200 acres of vineyards, sources for Shafer’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay,
Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, and Petite Sirah.
