Mandatory Masks

Face Coverings Now Required An important note on face shields: Face shields are primarily used for eye protection for the person wearing it. At this time, it is not known what level of protection a face shield provides to people nearby from the spray of respiratory droplets from the wearer. There is currently not enough evidence to support the effectiveness of face shields for source control. Therefore, CDC does not currently recommend the use of face shields as a substitute for masks.
Dear LifeSource Customers, To help protect the health and safety of our community, LifeSource is requiring that customers and team members wear masks at all times  This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition. This decision was made with the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as our local government in mind. After conducting our own research into the benefits of wearing a mask, we believe it’s in our community’s best interest to protect one another by covering our mouth and nose while in public. Please continue to social distance and use alternative methods to shop when available, including online shopping with free curbside pickup or using our contactless delivery service. We understand how uncomfortable and inconvenient this change may be, however we felt it was the right thing to do when reviewing all the information available to us. Together we can reopen Marion County for business and join the rest of the state of Oregon in our mission to protect each other and rebuild our economy. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to info@lifesourcenaturalfoods.com Please refrain from directing any comments to our staff on the floor, since they are also adjusting to this new change as well.  Thank you for your cooperation, patience and compassion as we continue to navigate this rapidly evolving and challenging situation.

  • Worst decision ever! Com’on Life Source, you guys are smarter than this! I’ve already stopped shopping at Costco for this same decision… you have one thing I can’t get anywhere else but consider all of my additional shopping with you discontinued affective immediately.

    • Thank you Marjorie for your comment.

We completely understand your decision and hope to see you back after this Pandemic subsides. The decision wasn’t made lightly and we understood the political ramifications of making any type of decision (for or against masks), but a decision was required due to the recent outbreaks in West Salem.

The decision we made was utilitarian, we believe it benefits the most people, even though our team members have to personally sacrifice even more than they already have to continue keeping our community fed.

I want to thank you for directing your comment here and not our team in-store since they’re also adjusting to this new policy. If you have any links or resources that could better educate the management team, I’d love to review those. Thank you Marjorie.

    • Hey Marjorie

      No shirt
      No shoes
      No service

Think of a mask like a shirt for your face

  • Think of a mask like a burqa or hijab for your face. It’s really about control and subservience. Sorry, I’ll shop where I don’t have to worship Globalist authoritarian organizations like the CDC. This virus, even with all the over-counting of “assumed” C-19 deaths (of which many are actually from other causes and comorbidities), still has a mortality rate on par with a bad seasonal flu.

I’ve been shopping here since the grand opening many years ago. However, I’m with Marjorie on this. I won’t shop here until the insanity stops. I can’t wear a mask because I have a life-long and seemingly very rare condition known as CTS (Critical Thinking Syndrome).

    • Sue,
Thank you for your comment regarding LifeSource policy about masks. We have received many responses to our decision, both positive and negative. As we continue to watch infection numbers rise in Marion county, we will continue this policy until the situation improves significantly. There is a way to shop at LifeSource without having to wear a maskClick Here For Details!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your concerns.

  • No one likes to wear masks, but think of it a Community Service. When you are wearing a mask you are preventing others from exposure. I feel the people who refuse to wear masks are selfish…instead be selfless and protect your community. We all need to work together to control this pandemic.

  • Is wearing a “mask” required at Natural Grocery on Arapahoe Rd. in Centennial, CO? Because the statement on the door say: By government order a face mask or other suitable face covering is required to be worn while shopping, Customers without face masks or other suitable covering are not allowed inside. I wear a plastic face covering that protect from my forehead to below my chin. So, if that’s not acceptable then you should change the statement at the entrance. Please respond. Thanks
