Sangria is of Spanish origin, a beverage combining wine, rum, and abundant fresh fruit as a delicious and refreshing appetizer. Our White Sangria recipe is unique in using white wine varietals, and white rum as the base of the beverage
Ingredients:
- ½ cup granulated cane sugar
- ½ cup water
- 3 nectarines, sliced
- 1 pint strawberries, sliced
- 6 oz pkg raspberries
- 6 oz pkg blueberries
- 1 bottle white wine
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup white rum (optional)
- ¼ cup triple sec
- Ice
- In a small saucepan, heat sugar, water, and the slices of 1 nectarine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain the syrup.
- Place remaining nectarines, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries in a large pitcher. Add wine, pineapple juice, rum, triple sec, and nectarine syrup to taste. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve over ice.
