  • 2 fillets cod or rockfish
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp minced cilantro
  • 1 Jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp avocado oil
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn tortillas
  • Sliced avocado
  • Pico de gallo
  • Diced sweet pepper
  • Sour cream

  1. In a shallow bowl or baking dish, whisk together olive oil, lime, hot sauce, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, pepper flakes, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  2. Add fish, tossing to coat evenly. Let marinate about an hour.
  3. Heat avocado oil in nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Cook fish until opaque and flaky, about 3 minutes each side.
  4. Serve with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, diced sweet bell pepper, and sour cream on warm tortillas.
