Chocolate Swirl Banana Bread

This recipe is for a delicious and visually appealing Marble Banana Bread. It uniquely combines ripe bananas with cocoa powder to create a marbled effect. The recipe begins by creaming together butter and sugar, then incorporating beaten eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract. Dry ingredients including all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder are mixed separately and then added to the wet mixture. The batter is divided in half, with cocoa powder stirred into one portion to create the chocolate layer. The two batters are alternately spooned into a greased 8×4 inch loaf pan and swirled together with a butter knife for a marbled effect. The bread is baked at 350°F for 50-60 minutes. After a brief cooling period in the pan and then on a wire rack, the bread is ready to be sliced and served. This recipe yields eight servings of a delightful, marbled banana bread, perfect for a snack or dessert.
