Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp unbleached white flour
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream (or milk)
- 1 cup dark beer, stout or porter
- 1 ½ cups provolone, shredded
- 1 ½ sharp cheddar, shredded
- ¼ cup cream cheese
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cayenne (optional)
- ½ tsp salt, or to taste
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, cooking and stirring about 5 minutes. Whisk in cream or milk, stirring until smooth.
- Mix in remaining ingredients, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Serve with our recipe for soft pretzels.
