Lime Rose Mimosas


  • 2 cara cara, navel, or valencia oranges, peeled
  • 6-8 limes, peeled
  • 2 oz Elderflower elixir
  • Rose Simple Syrup, to taste
  • Ice
  • Champagne, sparkling wine, club soda, or sparkling water



  1. Juice oranges and limes. If you don’t have a juicer, place peeled fruit in a blender. Blend until smooth and strain out the pulp. There should be about 2 cups of juice.
  2. Put juice, elderflower elixir, and rose simple syrup to taste in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. 
  3. Holding a champagne flute at a 45° angle, fill with 4 oz sparkling wine or sparkling water. Top with 2 oz of the juice mixture and enjoy!


Rose Simple Syrup: 

1 cup organic cane sugar, 

1 cup water

½ cup dried rose petals 

Heat sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium high heat until it reaches a low boil. Reduce heat to medium low, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until syrup becomes slightly thickened. Stir in rose petals. Put the lid on the pot and steep for 30 minutes. Strain out rose petals and chill syrup in a covered container until ready to use.


Makes about 6 servings
